Senior Team Building Workshop
High performance organizations in the 1990s and beyond must rely on teams
of professionals, managers, executives, technicians and support personnel
in order to meet the rapid changes that the new workplace dynamics bring.
Successful teams do not just happen. Successful teams are developed and
nurtured through extensive work by the team leaders. Teams must develop
mutual trust and interdependence in order to be successful.
Kammer & Associates believes team building must begin with individuals
understanding the communication styles of team members, both their own
individual style and that of their co-workers. We have been privileged to work
with hundreds of people, individuals and teams, helping them improve their
self-management skills and gain insight into the organizational team strengths
and general strengths of peers, reports and bosses. We make extensive use of
The Birkman Method® in our Senior Team Building Workshops in order to
help create successful teams.
In our Senior Team Building Workshop we seek:
- To develop awareness that team members have unique, individual needs
that may or may not necessarily match the behavior they exhibit in their
work relations;
- To develop strategies for strengthening each significant working
relationship of the team members;
- To understand why the communication styles of others inspire or
discourage peak performance among team members;
- To increase individual and team morale;
- To boost individual and team performance;
- To discover the individual and group support needed to accomplish
corporate goals.
Creating Effective Flex-Time Programs
(Managing the Work/Life Equation)
New Workshop!
The current family obligations and career demands placed on a significant
portion of today's workforce create conflict, stress and reduced productivity.
Balancing work/family issues, always a delicate proposition, has become
mainstream as more employees require more flexible options than ever before.
- According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Statistics, in
1996: 62% of all mothers with children under the age of 6 were born in
the labor force; 60% of married couples were dual-income couples; 19%
of the labor force worked part-time, including 4.4 million managers and
professionals.
- Catalyst, a non-profit organization which has conducted four major
studies examining workplace flexibility, including a recent survey of 70
major corporations, has found that: 39% of the corporations surveyed
had 100 or more employees using flexible work arrangements; 60% had
formal policies or guidelines for flexible work arrangements; nearly 60%
of women interviewed would have left their jobs without the opportunity
to work flexibly.
Kammer & Associates has created a new workshop for managers who are
finding the challenges of leading a workforce with these new dynamics both
complex and unfamiliar. In this workshop, four essential components are
explored: Change in the Organization, Change and the Manager, Creating
Successful Change, and Choices and Commitments. Kammer & Associates
will discuss ways in which to build organizational support for workplace
flexibility and to sustain this commitment to employees in order to retain a
productive, valued workforce.
